Flaman Group of Companies is looking for a 1st year heavy-duty mechanic apprentice for our team in Nisku. Flaman believes in people working together, doing what's right to make a difference. POSITION SUMMARY The Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for effectively and efficiently performing preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment to manufacturing or company standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work Safely and Efficiently
  • Service, inspect, diagnose equipment problems, disassemble and assemble equipment perform routine maintenance work and repairs as requested.
  • Determine and communicate to team members, management on any equipment or maintenance requirements.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1st year heavy-duty mechanic apprentice with or without school
  • Have a valid driver's license with a clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Must be punctual, reliable and professional and ability to work independently
  • Must be quick, proactive, self-disciplined, self-organized, and have a good professional attitude towards visitors and team members.
  • Solid analytical skills, strategic thinking and an excellent ability to think quickly and make effective decisions in a high-pressure situations
